Meet Peter Hauer
Peter Hauer created the Hauer pippin variety of apple. His parents had moved from Baltimore MD to Santa Cruz County in the 1850’s and then homesteaded land in Pleasant Valley around 1870. Born in the 1850’s he was a lifetime apple grower in that area until his passing in the 1950’s.
